Default Motor Recommendation for TLR 22x-4

Total Newbie when it comes to rc electric cars. I am building a TLR 22x-4 elite and would like to know what 13.5t motor would be good. I plan on racing in the stock class. Not really on a budget at this point so im open to all suggestions.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly any of the latest motors will be very good. Reedys new SP5 looks awesome, and my S+ (their last motor) are years old and are still running. I'd avoid the trinity as I've seen a ton fail, and they just got bought out. Not sure how they'll fair in the future. Fantoms another good option, and they'll tune the motor for your track style and maybe give you a gearing starting point. R1, Team powers and Tekin are all good options as well.

Oh and just buy the most basic motors, unless you really really want to pay more. As a new racer a 13.5 will be decently fast, and keeping the gearing right and a fan on the motor so it doesnt over heat is far more important than spending 50% more on the motor for 3% more performance.

I tested the Trinity certified Slot Machine, and non-certified, Surpass V6 Stock spec, Surpass V6 Lite Weight, and Fantom Helix RS, The Fantom was the fasted, but the Surpass Rocket V6 Stock Spec had the most torque. The more torque allows the ability to up the pinion 2 teeth, making it faster than the Fantom and still pulling harder. The Trinity's are fast and torquey, but not as fast as the Fantom. The certified was almost as torquey as the Surpass, making it slightly slower when pulling. Definitely not worth the extra $60.

Running the muchmore ZX V2 with one of the fancy stators.. um.. cant remember which one but

heres a link: MR-V2ZX135ERXR FLETA ZX V2 13.5T ER Spec Brushless Motor w/21XR-Muchmore Racing. Co., Ltd.

Was $179 in AUD.. thought it was a bargain as cheaper quality ones are usually around $199.

Muchmore and HobbyWing are both great choices for 13.5 4WD motors. Nice smooth power curves, with good torque. The R1 Stubby for 4WD is pretty cool, and i have heard good things about it.
