Default Losi 22 4.0 diff question

Hi, i have 2 losi 22 4.0s 2wd buggies. My question is which diff is better I have one ball diff and one gear diff. Sorry new to off road

I will be running in low grip dirt. Indoors thanks

From my understanding and reading you are probably better suited for the ball diff. Gear diff is better for high traction where lower traction tends to lean towards ball diff. Of course there are probably people that can drive both on either surface. Gear diffs are supposed to be lower maintenance as well but I think it is all relative to your level of driving.

A ball diff is great if you know how to get it best adjusted to the type of track you on lower grip more technical track. I always liked the gear diff due to you know how the drive wheels will act I like it for long less tech tracks with big jumps over 6 foot i feel they can take alot more abuse...

prity much i find ball diffs beening faster in almost all cases. but i really don't like handling those small ballz and the added maintenance. so i end up using geared diffs as i only rebuild them once every 2 years.
