Default Bought my first RC yesterday.

Hey guys, I bought my first RC yesterday. I purchased a CR12 Tioga rock crawling truck. Today was the first time I’ve ever used it and first time I’ve ever driven one of these and I’m hooked. I’m just curious on what type of Mods I could make to the vehicle to help in power and speed. Like I said I’m brand new and would appreciate all advice and information! Thank you all!!!

Welcome to the addiction.

Its a trail truck. Speed was never in the design.

Soon you’ll be looking for your second RC

Personally, I wouldn't try to modify that vehicle. Most RTR's end up with more breaking parts if you start modifying them beyond what they were sold as. I would recommend keeping it as is, and looking for something to go along side that one which matches different driving than crawling. Your decision there will vary based on the terrain you will be running them on.

I’ve got from 1/28 to 1/5 scale. Could suggest a few dozen or so.

Rock crawling and speed don't quite go well crawling is in the name. If you want a crawler that can also handle speed look up the Axial Wraith they can be modified with vanquish parts to be beasts and it's a neat jeep looking r/c.

Thank you guys much appreciated. I really got to crawl with the truck today and then was awesome and you’re right I don’t need more speed. So I’m looking for another vehicle now with more speed, I have a huge sand pit behind my house that’s id like to rip around in.
