Default Rock crawler or other RC for indoor use?

I'm thinking of getting an RC for myself and my nearly-three-year-old to have some fun with both indoors and out, but on a very tight budget (less than $50). At present I'm considering the Danchee Trail Hunter, which can be found for under $30 on Amazon. It's rather large (1/12), though, so before I make the purchase I wanted to see if there were any other options I should look at. I was thinking a rock crawler is the way to go as it would be slow enough to be manageable (particularly indoors) but be able to drive over anything in its way, but if there's something better out there I'd like to take a look.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

There is also the 28 line from team associated. There is a sc truck, monster truck, old school rc10 style buggy and a stadium truck all for about 50 bucks each and comes with everything you need in the box

Try get a 1:24 rock crawler like Basher Rocksta or similar. Great size for indoor and durable under $50.
