Default Charging 4s LiPo help

I知 trying to charge a reaction battery 4s 6500mah 15.2v battery on my protek 610ez charger . Should I set it to balance LiPo mode, 6.5amps and to 6500 capacity as well as 15.2 volts. Also will it shut itself off once the battery is charged or do I have to babysit the charger and watch it?? Thanks guys

I would think you can set the charger to 4s lipo balance and set at 6.5 amps as I have NO knowledge of that charger, but what bothers me more is your comments of babysitting the charger, I have seen 4s packs light up and not pretty and I always charge my 4s packs in lipo bag and I keep the charger in my sight during this process, I have heard garages burning down and a bunch of damage to trailers, just use caution is my answer

set charger for balance at 4 cells.. and desired amps. the charger will charge battery by itself but be safe and use lipo bag or box.. babysit charger . be safe.charger will charge battery all by itself and stop charge .set charger to beep when finished..

the theory that the charger will shut off is good, but I would still check on it from time to time

Technically it should take a hour..but sometimes all depends on how the charger balances the lipo..a hour might be a tad more

One last thing . It showed a voltage cutoff on the menu on the charger default is 4.2v. Should I leave it at 4.2v considering this is a 15.2v 4S battery .. thanks again guys for the help

yes as I would just leave it unless your racing, as with my i charger in have my voltage set at 4.21 volts per cell, and by the time the charger shuts off and I get the car ready for the track the voltage is right at 4.2 volts per cell, which is the limit for the batteries, so before I changed that setting on my charger the pack would be 4.17 volts per cell, not a lot of difference, but enough for racing in my opinion

If this is a 4 cell. then voltage is 16,8 when charge is finished...Id be very weary about charging to 4.21 volts a cell..

ok as I just need to ask why you would be weary of that as we are talking .01 volts per cell, so 1 cell, 2 cell, and so on as I have not read anything that states .01 volts more in a cell is bad, but then again maybe I am wrong, as resting charged voltage always seems to diminish a little before the race
