Default 1/12 pan car spur gears

im confused about these spur gears. i have two older crc 1/12 cars i was going to run in a 1/12gt class. i bought these things used years ago and don't know anything about 1/12 scale. what spurs will fit?

All of them. Buy something from 76-80 teeth to start with for the spur for stock racing.

hey thanks! so all the diff balls are the same size? what balls and what diff plates? (the round disks) are good to buy and from where? how long do they usually last? class rules are 45/78 gears with a 21..5

Most good online shops carry all you need. CRC carries what came on your car.

Almost all pan cars use the same spurs and 1/8th diff balls. There are some oddballs out there though. For instance, CRC and some others played around with smaller diff balls and rings for a while.

Most balls are 1/8" (3.17mm), I know Tamiya uses 3mm balls but handle perfectly 1/8"

These balls are standard used in bicycles In most bike shops you can get a box of 100 balls for just a few bucks. Last I scored 100 ceramic balls for just 14 dollar on Alixpress.

how many balls are typically used? old gear i took out had 8 even spaced. with the new kimbrough gear i bought that isn't possible. should i just fill up all the holes in the outer ring?
