Servo issues! Please help.

Hello, so this servo has been acting up for many months now, so it was just placed in storage. I tried to take it out today to see if I can get her up and working, but no give. She failed a while back ~November last year when I went head first into a pile of snow (oops). I ran over to get her out as quick as possible, she was in there for 25-30 seconds at most. That's the day that she failed, guessing some water just got inside the servo but no luck with WD40. Anyone else ever able to fix a servo that is acting this way? She will move at random times, with full rotation as she should but once you stop banging the steering wheel on TX, she will usually stop and not work until you start spamming the wheel back and forth or giving the horn a little push with my finger. I would love to not have to buy another servo, but not sure if there is a way to get this one back up. I've opened it up, seems like the gears are causing the issue obviously, not the circuit board or wires. Is there something I should do to lift up the silver gear box and see whats going on in there? Any suggestions? Video below. Thanks

Disclaimer: Obviously you shouldn't force the gear like I am, but I am on my last straw with this servo.

was there any obvious damage to the gears? can you be sure that the electronics inside were not damaged by water? In my opinion it would be worth replacing the entire servo, last thing you would want is for it to fail at high speed and cause further damage to your car

I'd would get a new one. Save that one and try to fix it if you want but for the here and now, buy a new one. Maybe a spare too just in case.
