1/10 slash. Ebay is one stop shopping if you ask me. Different vendors (sellers) just type in part number or what you want in the search box and have a wide variety of choices also most will combine shipping. Heres some links for the slash on ebay theres even one with a pink body for your daughter.

Igottabeme - thanks for those links and for confirmation about the size! Those look promising.

rc_guy - thanks again for confirming the size; definitely will make sure she gets to pick her color!

1/10 slash is a great starter rc. You can easily get parts. Can upgrade it in the future if you want. And for any reason she loses interest in it you can sell it and get some of your money back. 60% or so in resale value

Yea
+1 on the 2wd slash .
Its my go to ride when friends want to try out a car .
Takes the abuse they dish out and like its been said, parts are everywhere .
Pick up their battery charger Model# 2972 when you get tired of the in the box charger and you will be set .

Rather Race & strykerakamack - thanks for the feedback and additional confirmation, I think the 2wd slash is definitely the way to go.

She's picked the "Hawaiian" color scheme.

Also, that battery charger Model# 2972 looks pretty good when we're ready for an upgrade.

I would recommend not getting the Traxxas charger. It might be a decent charger but you can get better ones for less money.

Olds - thanks, when it's time to upgrade I'll do a good bit of reading and post questions back here in a new "Rookie Zone" thread.

The reason for the traxxas charger is basically set and forget .
Yes its not as advanced but for what it will do its perfect for the traxxas batteries .
I dont think he's looking to get into soldering packs and playing with lipo balance wires .

I actually went to buy a cheap tamiya kit from tower but almost all of them were either " back ordered" or "on order". It was a bummer I really wanted to put something together.

Default Hosim 6x6 8816/ SZJJX 6wd crawler

Before your orignal post was made I bought the Hosim 6x6 off amazon which is exactly the same as the SZJJX 6wd crawler. Both come in the same packaging as well. The 3rd set of wheels really does help it around/over stuff. I gotta say for it being toy-grade it performs really well. They say the motors are specially tuned for it but they seem to be your standard 180 brushed. I have had several of the motors burnt out and everytime I contact the company I got it from (Hosim), they send a brand new truck, I have 4 of them now and just told them to send me a new motor instead of a whole new truck. But here I am writing this because it seems like the only thread closest to my truck (I haven't been able to start one yet) and I wanted to say for $40 off Amazon it's not a bad deal if anyone wants a low budget weekend basher, it comes with a full one year warranty
Ps. Sorry for the length
