Default RCMART BANK FEES

Just a FYI, at the end of check out note down the amount rcmart charge you in bank fees, I thought I'd try and dispute that amount so after I received my last order, I filed a Paypal claim for the bank fees I was charged citing it as a breach of Paypal terms and conditions.

No Surcharges. Under Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express regulations and the laws of several states, including California, merchants may not charge a fee to the buyer for accepting credit card payments (often called a "surcharge"). You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as payment.

rcmart argued against it and fought the claim.

Just got a Paypal email, it was decided in my favour and the fees were reimbursed.

Paypal has therefore decided these bank fees are not allowed, and I would urge anyone with an rcmart order to file a Paypal claim and get their bank fees back.

Yes it's only $3 or $4, but it's not about the value but the principle of it.

Explain the "principle of it", 'cause I'm not sure what you mean by that.

Is it not just semantics?

Here is some insider info, you are also paying for a portion of all of RCmarts expenses.

That claim you made to paypal is a pretty slimy move.

I have shopped in rcmart for almost 5 years now, never had any problems with them. I rmb they used to charge a small fee for handling (bank fee?), that pays for the extra wrapping and box which protects my rc things.

but in my recent order, it seems like they have cancelled the fee completely. No handling, no bank fee
