Review about quadcopter for beginners (Quad, multirotor, drone, UAV)

It's not easy to find didactic information about quadcopters on the web. Most of the information available talk about Phantom and AR.Drone.

I found a website with a review about 36 different Quadcopters models.

I want to share the name of the site: quadsforfun.wix.com/quadsforfun

This is an impressive summary with information about quads, list of main manufacturers, list of mais RC transmitters and other related subjects.
It's available a PDF file, for free download.

HobbyKing K-680

I finally got my K-680 to fly, well hover for now_newbbie you know. I had the esc's wired wrong and no. 1 motor was not turning as fast as the others, But the biggest problem was the stock firmware, grap. I finally flashed the KK 2.1.5 FC with Steveis 1.17s2 pro and that solved all the flight problems. hovers smooth as can be, and I can make real soft landings.:):)

Sad to see no review for the FPVFactory Mariner I am deciding between that and probably the phantom. I plan to fly in a lot of snow so not sure how the phantom would hold up getting wet all the time.

Thanks for your sharing! I'm recently got into the UAV/drones etc., very interested to get one. This website looks very informative ;)

What ever flight controler you get, make sure you flash it with the latest firmware
available.

What would you recommend for a beginner multirotor? Not looking at fpv right now, probably in the future though. I was told a Blade Nano QX RTF Quadcopter would be a good beginner copter.

rcgroups.com is one of the goto forums for multirotors, you will be opened to a whole new world over there.

If you happen to get to fly a FPVFactory Mariner let me know I have been looking into them and would love to hear a RL thought on it.

I started with the blade nano and its a blast. Now I'm trying to make up my mind which one I want to build QAV 250 or Blackout mini h quad.
