My First Flight Of An RC Ever! Video Inside...

Thanks to much of the assistance/advice I got on this forum, I chose a plane (The e-flight Apprentice), trained myself on Realflight 6, and finally got a chance to take the plane out today. I have never had any training in person from anyone who has flown, and was pretty much reliant upon what I have learned on Realflight, and from advice on this forum.

The grass I took off in was not ideal, and the prop did a little lawn mowing on take off, but the landing was as perfect as I could have ever hoped, and the grass didn't seem to be an issue on landing. This video is from flight #1! I took off and landed 3X successfully, and could not be happier with the overall experience! I would recommend this plane to anyone! Thanks again guys!

congratulations. on you first flight looks like you did everything right good hight stayed in a pattern and landed in one piece. flying is fun just wait to you get bitten by that speed bug. but you'll always love your e-flite apprentice. and it will be your go to plane, so keep it flight ready at all times.

Thanks! The flying of the plane was really easy after spending so much time on Realflight, it was more just the fact that I had no experience, and was making myself nervous based on that alone, I was actually mildly shaking, lol!

After getting this first landing in, and completing the first flight, 90% of that nervousness was gone. With enough of a lead in to the landing, you can basically cut power, and let the thing borderline land itself, I just added a hint of up elevator just before touchdown to get the rear wheels to touch just before the front, It looks way faster in that video than I remember it being in me head. I can't wait to go out again tomorrow!

Thanks! They sell it as a "Plug n play", and RTF. The "Plug n play" needs a TX/RX and battery. You could get the "Orange RX" and Hobby King battery together for about $20. I have two of the 3000mah 3s Turnigy lipo's and they work great!

I have a DX8 on mine now, but I like that it came with the DX5E, so I can use it as a trainer box.

Battery ($12.99): http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=8851

RX ($5.99): http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Sat_Port_.html
