Confused newbie needs help

Im new and need clarification on servo centering on my Blade 400. I have read that the servos need to be centered with the tx throttle at mid stick. Is that correct? Seems to me that by setting them that way would give me + pitch above mid stick and - below. As a beginner do I want any negative deflection while learning? I understand the principle but I'm no where near stunt flying.

Also I've read conflicting posts on swashplate movement. Should it rise or fall when increasing the throttle stick? Thanks in advance for any advice.

You want the servos centred when the throttle stick is in the centre. When in your flightmode switch is at zero, there will be no negative pitch, only positive. This is what you use for takeoffs, landings, and basic forward flight. Changing the flightmode will gve you control off the full pitch motion and is used for fast forward flight and 3D maneuvers.

Here's a great video how to set up a CCPM heli. Helped me a lot. Good luck!
