Ego Models Cessna 182
Hi there, i have just recently purchased the electric ego models cessna 182 plane and was wondering if anyone else on here has this plane??
If so, what do you think of it, is it good/bad and is it easy to fly, im only a beginner at flying so i am just wanting to know what people think about this plane.
Thanks, Rhys.

Ego Cessna Comment and Thrust
hey mate, i thought the ego cessna was great. It was like the second plane i ever brought. I loved the cessna, however now that its been trashed im having more problems with it. i'd def choose the cessna at your level. im still loving it.
BUT, i need help.. i've got the following problems
I've trashed my cessna major
I killed my engine and ESC (about 100 times) so i brought a brand new ESC and engine
I have 2 battery's (6 months) and 1 brand new battery (all 8 cell)
I get about 1/3 the thrust as i used too, however it's all new equipment.
It's the best soldering you've ever seen right and still no good.
The only last thing on the planet that could be a problem is the charger?
Has anyone else had this same problem?
Any good chargers out there for the stock ni-mh 1200 mah 8 cell battery

182 power loss
i saw your query whilst i was trolling for info on the ESC.
my 182 has had several nose in landings! the motor would only operate in low revs and cut out frequently. i measured the current drain and found it to be 600ma which is high. dismantled the motor and found the shaft was binding on the bearings(quite subtle). put it back better aligned and the motor now revs happily at 100ma. it might be worth checking this.
im still looking for the identity of the esc so i can check that out.

Figured out the problem with the EGO
I figured out what was wrong with my EGO ages ago.
It was the brand new engine which was faulty
I got myself a new engine and the thrust was insane
However the stock charger for the EGO cessna is rubbish
I'd like to have get the Venom Pro Charger ($200 +) which would fix this issue but ATM its not worth the investiment considering you can get a full blown ST Cessna (Steering nose, flaps and lights) for $280
Anyway, i thought i'd let everyone know not to rule out simple things (like new equipment) as in this case it was the bloody problem!
