The stock charger that comes with the Blade CX2 can only charge 2S packs. You would need to buy another charger if you want to charge a 3S pack. Just to let you know you shouldn't be using a 3S pack with the Blade CX2. The motors will be fried in no time. If I were to buy some upgrades I would go with the heat sink, alloy inner shaft and bearing block. The rest of the upgrades are kind of useless. The carbon tail boom works all right, as it lowers the over all weight and it flies better and longer.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I stand corrected. The old CX chargers were only 2S so I assumed this one was the same. I don't use the stock charger because it takes too long to charge the pack up. I also use the Flight Power 18C EVO Lite 800mAh pack.

I guess it could, but you will burn out the motors really quick as they will get too hot. The new Twister Chinook runs on 3S pack, but it driving 4 motors and 4 blades, not 2.

Questions?? another Q

I am looking to buy some new batteries for my CX2 (I left one plugged in and ruined it ) I looked on line I am not sure which is better 15c 850mah or 10c 900mah??????
Any suggestions?

Not really sure if 15c if required for the CX2. I have stock motors right now but I do plan on upgrading to the BB ones.

Check out the BladeUpgrade pack from FlightPower. Its 800mah, 18c & roughly $4 bucks cheaper than a stock replacement. It comes with the OEM plugs on it just like the stock pack so the stock charger is fine. If you dont use the stock charger then they have adaptors that will be aval. in the next week or so that will allow you to hook a balancer up to the plug the stock charger used & charge theough the main leads. This adaptor should work on the Eflite pack as well so it can be charged & balanced with a better charger.

The Flight Power 800mAh 2S pack is good. The only thing is they are about 30mm longer then the stock one.
