There's a socket at the back of the transmitter for a trainer. Is that for a PC simulator? Where can you get the cable for it? Tnx.

what ever you do don't get the blade cp pro they are money pits

Dan 10-18-2006 04:43 PM

Get a heli that you can easily get parts for because if you're new, you will be breaking tons of parts!

to be perfectly honest with you i would probably get the new venom night ranger XL 3D because it looks to be identical to a T-rex and should fly way better than any other rtf out there in the price range. plus if it is identical to the t-rex almost every lhs carries the parts. i think it would be the best bang for your buck. comes with TX, Lipo, charger, gyro and everything to fly. just my 2 cents.

Michael.H 10-20-2006 06:19 AM

if you want a good heli get a trex 450se or trex 600. The venom 3d xl doesn't look like a trex and will not fly well because the gyro, esc, servos and tx are not good. This hobby is not cheap and if you don't start with good stuff then it just doesn't help you and will end up costing more in the long run. ;)

Dan 10-20-2006 01:53 PM

Yeah, the Venom 3DXL is definitely not a Trex. It is, however, based on one of the larger sized Walkera helis. Walkera helis have questionable quality but the higher price you pay for the 3DXL will be offset by Venom, who should have decent customer service.

Thai3g_Eclipse 10-20-2006 02:50 PM

You have to also remember Walkera helicopters are copies of other helicopters as well, so it makes it somewhat interesting when you have a helicopter that is a copy of another, which in turn is a copy of something else.

Dan 10-20-2006 05:16 PM

Yup, lot of rebadged helis out there.

GWS Sabre = Venom Night Ranger II = Walkera #4

Esky CP = E-Flite Blade CP

Michael.H 10-20-2006 07:55 PM

yep thats right, copy of a copy of a copy  . In this hobby if you start with a good heli and electronics then it will save you money. :)

jeff jenkins 10-21-2006 12:20 AM

thats true the saying goes if you buy cheap you buy twice. in my other post i was saying that by the pic. that i saw it has a t-rex influence by the looks of it. it should fly alot better than there previous heli's and others like the blade and hummingbird.

Michael.H 10-21-2006 10:57 PM

i see what your saying.

jeff jenkins 10-22-2006 12:08 AM

if you are looking to get a t-rex for any reason you should get in touch with team brood we are soon to become a dealer for align. just a heads up on whats to come...
