Default Beginner Heli

So I'm getting a little bored with cars at the moment and would like to try a helicopter. What does everyone recommend for a complete beginner, either a:

- Counter Rotating, or a
- Fixed Pitch

Cheers

Ben

Fixed Pitch is a better first helicopter for learning. Less things to think about. I have heard good things about the Blade CX. I started with the Real Flight simulator. Once you get good with this you will be able to fly a real heli easily.

Since your an aussie don't go for the blade cx! Parts are hard to get hear in australia. I personally would go for the Trex 450XL as a starter and then progress to the Trex 450SE If you don't mind to fork out extra cash for the SE. The one massive bonus is that parts are dirt cheap. So crashes don't become so painfull. And the Trex450SE is rated the best bang for buck and best flyer in the world of 400 size electric heli's...

Have a look at this site it has everything you will ever need to know about this machine.

www.trextuning.com

If you end up with one, you never leave that site!

Default Rotary Flight School

Here is a site I came across for learning how to fly. I have not yet recieved my Blade CP, but this is going to be my tactic for learning to fly it.

RADD's School of Rotary Flight

Have fun, and good luck.

Default I have a BCX and I wondered what you all thought...

of the Blade CP? My hobby store has all the parts and it's a good price. I want to know if this is a good starter or should I get something better. My BCX wonders, does the CP do the same? I figure I'll get something very good down the road when my skill gets better. I want real flight but it's either a heli or a simulator. Thanks.
