Exclamation Help! Using RC Car ESC in Plane

Hi,

Im am trying to use the Duratrax Element by castle RC Car ESC and motor in an RC Plane. My transmitter is the Flysky-i6x. This issue arises when trying to connect the ESC to the left throttle stick. I can easily connect it to any other self-centering axis using the calibration method (eg right stick forward/backwards, left stick left/right, right stick left/right) but as the left stick forward/backwards stick does not return to the center (has no reverse) it will not connect to it. Of course I have no need for the reverse but i believe that is why the ESC isn't working.
Any suggestions on how to navigate around this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
