RC plane transmission delay
Hey, I want to build an RC plane on my own including the transmission system but I've encountered a problem,
the problem is that I need to transmit many information between the receiver and the transmitter and I fear that it will take a lot of time to transmit all the data to the receiver, as a result, the overall transmission delay will be very high and it will be dangerous to fly the plane. So my question is, what is the approximate transmission delay on a typical RC plane and what is the maximal delay that below that it'll be safe to fly? Thanks from advance. |
I think the right word you are looking at is radio "latency", by today standard even cheapest $20 2.4ghz radio and receiver unit are fast enough for flight control. You will get lots of info about radio 'latency' and radio protocol from this link: https://oscarliang.com/pwm-ppm-sbus-...md-difference/
Hope the link provided helps. |
