Default NIKKO Island Cruiser help please

Hello....I got my hands on a Nikko Island Cruiser rc boat but it did not come with the remote control. Does anyone know where to get one or can other remote 27mhz controllers work perhaps? Also, is there a way to hot wire? the motor to see if it actually will turn over. Thanks.....Captain CC.

You could try ebay for the remote....
The motor can be wired to a 9 volt to test it.
Or take the leads from any rc battery and touch the motor terminals.
It may jump or spark but thats normal.

Sorry, but pure honesty here. Nikko boats are generally use them until they die then hit the trash can with them. I don't know if the transmitters are compatible with other radio systems that might cost what the boat is worth new. Theirs is a completely different setup from the RC norm.
