Default RC TECH Chaser technical issue

Hi,
Bought my 8yr old son a RC Tech Chaser boat for Christmas and its dead after two days!
Controller shows solid power light and frequency light. When boat is placed into water rudder twitches to indicate water sensor has detected water but we get nothing after that!

Mum has thrown out instructions /trouble shooting and we can't work out how to reset or work out the problem as it seems boat isn't picking up reciever???

Can anyone help?

I'd use the contact information at the top of the page to contact the vendor for assistance, or a duplicate copy of the instructions. However, the first thing I'd check would be to make sure the main battery is fully charged, then retest...

Default Same

The exact same thing happened to me. The only difference is that it only lasted about two or three hours.
It doesn't turn off when I take it out of the water because I can't move the rudder, but I still here the motor for the rudder whirring.

Please please tell me how to fix my boat so I can play with it with my daddy.

:-(

have you tried to rebind rx thats in boat?

did you test motor... disconnect from esc and hook it to a D cell unless it has 3 wires..
a link to boat and more info will help... will rudder turn right to left with steering wheel movement?sorry dint see it was a 2 year old post...

Trainy check the water sensor if you can... sound like its not reading its in water...you might try to short circuit sensor to think its in water... best to know something about the wire setup in your boat...

Default Yeah

Yes I have tested the motor and it worked

I can't control the boat at all from the remote

I don't know how to short circuit the sensor

This morning I found rust on the sensor and motor plugs

I have removed the plugs and connected the wires directly

I really don't want to buy a new boat.
;-(😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😓😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😢😥😧🙁☹️☹️☹️☹️😭😭😭😭😭😭 😭😭 its almost brand new.

I had same thing, with two of these from Jaycar. Have just emailed Jaycar. My motor is ok on this one but the same issue with the rudder, the servo pulls the rudder over to one side and keeps trying, click click as it strains against the end of travel. I suspect that the servo has water in it as it does not look as is if it's water proofed in the same way as the other components. If the servo is shorting inside it could explain why it's not switching off

Default answer

i belive this may be why the jaycar website says that they are discontinued.

I think that any one who has bought one of these should return it and get their money back... while they still can
