Default Matching lipo,motor,esc

Currently using the Mega Motor: The Motor is rated for 2s.

Weight: 76g
Dimensions: 28 x 36.4mm
Shaft Diameter: 3.2mm
No Load Speed: 4600rpm/1V
Maximum Current: 35A
Resistance of armature: 6 mohm
Number of Poles: 6
Number of Winds: 2

With a Platinum 40amp watercooled esc & 2s, 1800mah, 65c-130c nanotech lipo.

Boat weighs between 450-500grams.

Currentl prop at WOT on AVG.
The temps are super super low for the motor at 95-105F
The Esc is about 90-100F
The lipo is about 120-130F

I'm wondering if I can run a 3s, 30C similar size and weight lipo to increase
performance of the motor without burning something out.

I'm not quite getting how 3 cells impact the motor vs 2 cells.

The 3s, 1800mah, 30C constant vs the 2s, 1800mah, 65C constant

Basically, I'm looking for more top end speed without having to change anything out.

If worse comes to worse...I will change out the motor and esc. to do this...

Just wanted some feedback.

Cheers

Change a prop, I would not change voltage unless you upgrade electronics.

Fair enough…I've been warned.

ps. The venom 3s, 1300mah, 20C that comes with 1st rc boat purchased
( atomik barbwire )
uses a 30amp atomik esc and 2950 brushless out runner.

Assuming 1300 x 20 = 26amps (How does the cell count relate
to a 30 amp esc being able to handle 3s vs say the 40amp esc
I currently use. I just don't see why this lipo would not work.
My understanding is amps x volts = watts
(Venom 3s)26 amps x 11.1 volts = 288.6 watts
(Nano-T 2s) 1800mah x 65c = 117 amps x 7.4V = 865 watts?

The Atomik also weighs more then my current boat.

readings:
Got a watt meter and put the boat in the tub using a 2200mah 20-30C
rated Turnigy 3s lipo.

Hit full throttle and held her.

The readings showed at WOT:

Current: 8.5 A average
Input Voltage: 11.89 V average
Wattage: 108-116 W
Current: .224 AH

Not sure how to determine if things are okay here.

The Mega Motor 16/15/2 is a 28mm diameter 400 size motor with a 3,2mm shaft which can be used geared, or in 400 size pylon racers on 2S Lipo, but is most commonly used in the Wemotec Mini Fan 480 with 3 series Li- poly batteries at around 50A.

Weight: 76g
Dimensions: 28 x 36.4mm
Shaft Diameter: 3.2mm
No Load Speed: 4600rpm/1V
Maximum Current: 35A
Resistance of armature: 6 mohm
Number of Poles: 6
Number of Winds: 2
It ran so cool on the venom 3s, 1300mah, 20C , I had to try out this lipo
and see what the readings were.

I could probably push this using 4s but the lipo won't fit.
It is not even drawing 10amps at WOT using current prop.
The larger prop pushed temps 30 degrees higher across the board
and there was no evident speed increase at top end..or low.
More torque..I guess..
I'm going to swap this motor out with the 15/16/1 Mega Motor.

This will likely translate into what I'm looking for.

8000rpm/v VS the current 4600rpm/v

Will post results...in a few weeks..on order

Update …

Ran 3s, 2200mah, 20c turnigy..temps good. WOT..okay

Tested currents in the tub properly without air pockets.

Ran 3s, 2250mah, 65c Thunderpower…Amp draw max. 25-30.

Testing 4s lipo for amp draw.

Uh yeaaaa…..lesson learned fella's….lesson learned.

8000rpm = destructive amp draw…

on a 2s lipo…my 120amp esc was 158F after a full run!
