Default anybody ever hear of a hobbyco 60amp esc???

Hey guys new to rcs boats. Bout to buy a montley crew for my bday and have a ques about the esc capabilites? The previous owner says its a high end hobbyco 60 amp esc, runs only 2s and reaches 40mph. Wondering if that sounds accurate . and if the boat will run 3s or possibly 4s? To me 2s seams like a 20-25mph boat but what do I know.any help is appriciated.

I really don't think it would do 40, I would at least get a 120 amp esc. For batteries, it would depend on what motor it has.

Motleys run 4s stock. On 2s it will not hit 40. A stock motley should do 35... 40 in smooth water.

Floater is what I've been calling them. You should check out the revolt. Very nice easy to run for beginner with recent electronics and tons of mods available when you're ready.

If you're a tower pro member, check out scratch and dent. They usually have boats in there cheap with box damage or missing prop or something. Stock props are garbage anyway.
