Default Just bought a Tenshock Mini Eco

Yeah.. just bought this Tenshock Mini Eco brushless with a Viper Brushless motor

I bought it for my son (9) to play while i play with my gas boat.

Came with 4 lipo's
Just gonna put a spektrum reciever into it and go..

Being a noob.. would like to hear your thoughts about this boat?

They say it has a class of its own if i wanted to take it racing?

Any maintenance tips?
Prop selection?

Speed tips?
Self righting hull? So it will flip back upright?

Huge blog here about the eco.

From what I understand people just improved on the flood chamber holes

for faster self righting.

Rest of the maintenance is normal stuff///

Clear Hockey tape to seal the hatch is a must.

Prop selection: stick with the stock if you ask me…see how it is..with temps.& motor.

Watch it using the Spektrum radios. Use the Marine RX only! The standard one is really bad for watercraft as it has a very short range. I've seen guys lose contact in under 100 feet.

Oh man no wonder they make a marine version...I always wondered what the differences were.

Thanks for that tip. I use a Futaba 4PL looking into a few starter boats really thinking about the PB Shockwabe 26 BL off eBay no rx/tx and just use one of mine.

I wonder if Futaba has marine only rx's as well.
