Default Proboat hydros

Hey everyone, I've been thinking of purchasing a Proboat 1/12 scale Elam Plus or Formula Boats Hydroplane this winter....I'm not really new to rc boats, I've been around them my whole life since my dad used to build dumas hydroplane kits when I was younger but I never really piloted one myself.Even though I had a miss Llumar and only ran it once for 30 seconds...Which is better the Elam with a .15 or the Formula with a .18 engine? I know the .18 is faster, but which engine is more durable/reliable, the .18 proboat engine or the .15 Dynamite?

They are the same engine. You have experience with the Llumar so I suggest to buy an electric version or if you really want to go nitro get a .21 engine. You have to make new mounts but it will make it more faster. K&B makes a .21 inboard engine with a front exhaust instead of side exhaust. I have had K&B's in the past and they are good motors.
