looking for a boat (first timer)

A friend of me want to trade his Pro boat Mis bud 1/12 nitro for my truggy.
His boat is brand new, never run.

I don't want to race truck anymore, and i want to try a boat. I have a great place to run r/c boat near my home.

I want to know if this nitro Miss Bud is a good choice.

Thank you

The Pro Boat Hydros are good First Boats the Dynamite .15 is a dependable easy to tune engine If Properly Broke in and Maintained.
Like Every Other nitro engine out there It Must be broke in before you will see any real performance or consistency from it, but with a little time and tweaking you can get that boat with the stock .15 up in the high 30mph range. When it gets To Slow for ya you can upgrade the .15 to one of the better .18's and get it up over 40mph.
But they don't do well in choppy of ruff water.

Amax has done just about everything you can think of to a miss bud. You can believe his numbers! Also a Miss Vegas is a great starting point for reason just like the pro-boat.

Deep V

Try a deep V. Then you can hit some waves.

Pro-boat is better than Aquacraft. You got horizon vs. hobbico. The blackjack 26 and widowmaker are very popular at our local hobby store, around $300.

That all depends on what yype of hull your talking about. I would put my Aquacraft Vegas Deuce(stock) up against any stock Proboat hydro:nod:. Proboat makes very nice boats but their hydro just don't stack up in a Sport .18 hydro races.

+1. In the .18 class you can't touch a Miss Vegas.

A mono or deep v would be great for first timer and an EP type would a good choice. Nitro is also good but if you don't have any experience with nitro that could be a problem.

my first boat was a aquacraft ul1 and it is a handful but very easy to drive but the v hull would bee a bit better

Traxxas Blast RTR Boat is a good choice. It is Fully assembled, Ready-To-RaceŽ,
with radio system, Nautica Waterproof Electronic Speed Control and Full-Color Die-Cut Decals. It includes TRaxxas Radio. Visit the website nitrokings.com and you can have the options.
