Default Speed control set up

Hi all. I have a Genesis which took on water which ruined my ESC. I have replaced the ESC and receiver. Now when I bind the receiver - Flysky FS-GR3E to my transmitter Flysky FS-GT3B the motor goes straight to full speed and will stop when I push the trigger forward. Any ideas as to how I can make it behave normally?
Thanks in advance,
Don

Thanks for your reply. ESC is Turnigy Marine ESC 150 amp. And had the issue a bit wrong. It goes to full revs and goes to zero revs when I pull the trigger right back to the handle. What do you mean by one wire?

If you have a throttle reversing switch on your transmitter, try switching it and see if that solves the problem.
