Post use a starter with a RC motor

Hello everyone! At my school I have a project where we have to create a solar boat and I would like to know, since I can't find it on the internet, if a RC electrical motor needs an external starter to initiate the engine's operation. We would like to use a 6kW motor like the ones the company LMT creates.

A dc motor only needs voltage and amps.

A ac motor might need a hard start kit .. same with a compressor.. no a dc motor will never need a cap to start it..
