Yes, they are rare. With the popularity of them now, Kyosho should re-issue them. They also had Surfer Lisa which may be more rare than what you have.
I didn't know that Kyosho still made the Optima's but haven't kept up with what they're doing. Many years ago I had the Turbo Optima Mid around 1987 I'm guessing.
