Default E Buggy esc/motor set up (budget/cost effective)

Hi Guys, new to e buggy and have a mp9e on route, I have been having a read up and heading this direction but open to suggestions

So far i was thinking:

Hobbywing SCT Pro esc and a Sky toro 4 pole 2150kv motor

Or a

Trackstar Gen II 150a esc and 2100kv motor

Both are sensored set ups and seem good bang for the buck

HobbyWing SCT Pro and a SMC 1900 KV motor. Cheap and very very good.

I run this same combo and it's a very nice and reliable setup though I kinda wish I got the 2100kV motor instead, it seems that some of the buggies are pulling on me at the track, but I think they might be running 6S systems, here's the motor worth taking a look at for an economical 4S:
1/8th 4 Pole 2100KV

Bill,

I race on large to medium 1/8 scale tracks. I am using a 1900 KV motor. I wish I could find an affordable 1700 KV motor. Ebuggies have way too much power in general. My thinking is that the powerband will be better.

Regarding the fact that you are getting pulled on the straight.....Did you try a larger pinion? This may even smooth out the throttle response in the low end and make it more controllable.....
