Battery and ESC question
 

What's up guys? I have been on and off rc racing on and off for 20 years and i am making a shameful return :D however I haven't raced in 4 years and boy has it changed. Just a couple questions, i will be running stock buggy and later will run mod. Here is where i am at.

Esc's I'm in between Orca R32 and the HW x10 pro 160a.

Battery's? All i have been hearing from the local folks at the track is make sure its 5MM. Some say 7.6 some say 7.4 on the shorty lip :confused:

ESC wise I like the Hobbywings, they're everywhere, proven reliable, and heaps of programming options. The Orca, well it's meant to be good, not a fan of the local distributor for them here for other reasons, and in a race of speed, I can't bring myself to use an ESC named after what is essentially a sea cow.

While that's an amusing reason that would be as valid as any, Orcas are actually apex predators. Far from a sea cow. :sweat:

Sea cow? Because of its black and white pattern?:weird:
Orcas, a.k.a. "killer whales", prey on great white sharks (among others). I don't want to be near any cows in your area, if you compare them to Orcas. :D
