LI-ION charging
 
Will it hurt a LI-ION to charge it on LIPO mode?

don't do it,
....not sure i've never done it, but I'd say it would be best to use the correct setting. Did you already (accidentally) charge a li-ion in lipo mode? If so, maybe discharge it then recharge it.

yes I did not realizing it was an ion.

As long your Li-Ion is also 3.7v then it is no problem (some are 3.6v)

As said, as long as the volts are the same, No worries. I charge Li-ion flashlight batteries all the time.

It's safer to go to 4.1v with Li-ion, and charge @ 0.5c.
