Hobbywing Program Box
 

Will the Hobbywing Program Box and ESC work with a Tekin Pro 4 HD or must you use a Hobbywing Motor?

The box will work with the ESC just fine, doesn't matter what motor you use. The only difference will be when it asks you if you want unsensored, sensored, or hybrid mode. You can't run hobbywings version of "full sensored" with any motor other than a HW motor so it runs in hybrid.

I myself run a Tekin 1900kv in my 1/8 scale with a HW XR8 esc and it's smooth as can be in hybrid mode. The only difference to my understanding is hybrid it's sensored up to a certain RPM and then just balls to the walls but with a HW motor it will run off hall sensors through the entire RPM range.

They will work great together.
