Thanks Ebb Tide.
Is the Duratrax DE10 ESC as good as the other higher-cost ESCs? |

Is the Duratrax DE10 ESC as good as the other higher-cost ESCs? But for the price, I wouldn't mind using it for stock classes since it's so small and lightweight and maybe getting support from Duratrax might be easier than getting it from HW. |
Thanks EbbTide.
My son needs a new ESC; and I was thinking about getting him the Reedy Blackbox 1000Z or the Duratrax DE10. |
They are re-branded GM racing genius 80R ESCs (not turbo ones those have dynamic timing), enough items to tune with the program box, solid performance and great feel. Have one since 2010 or so has been on a 4x4 SC, various Touring cars and 2wd buggies. Can recommend 100%.

Thanks for the info 30 Tooth.
I installed the Duratrax IntelliSpeed Brushed 8-Turn Race ESC. -I have a few other brands of Brushed ESCs (Futaba, HPI and Tamiya). They are more efficient than the Duratrax IntelliSpeed 8-Turn. -the battery pack is out after three 5-minute runs (with a 13-turn motor). I don't know if I want to try another Duratrax ESC Brushed or Brushless ESC. |
No problem, the GM80r can also drive brushed motors so it makes sense the DE10 does also, if not mistaken the only difference is that the DE10 blinks when timing is set to 0.

I purchased the Hobbywing Xerun 120A v3.1 ESC.
It's runs well with the Reedy 10.5 Brushless Motor. Thanks to everyone for your help. |
