MRT transponders
Anyone using the new MRT transponders. I know when Mylaps went to the new RC4 system the old MRT became obsolete. But I found some "new" ones on EBay that claim to work for both RC3 and RC4 systems. I'd like to me to get these over the Mylaps as that are drastically cheaper.

I've heard that they do work, someone at our track is supposedly using one. I will be sending in my old unit as a trade-in soon.

I would say for the $75 they are asking for the MRT. Just buy a used hybrid MyLaps on here.
Or you can even get a new 3 wire for only a few more bucks. Then you never have to worry if it will work with MyLaps system. Or when will MyLaps cut off the MRT's again. PT's are the one and only thing in rc that you can buy and then resale and only Lose a couple bucks on them. I would just keep an eye in the FS section and grab a used hybrid. |
Mine were the old ones that I sent in when they were running a promotion and had them upgraded for like $35 for 2 of them. I haven't had a single problem with them yet.

I use MRT transponders and they have worked in every track I've been without any issues. I have three of them, one of the one on the link above and two of the "older" ones with the push button. Never had issues with them.
I think they realize how good they are because I bought the last one like the one on your link for $65 new last year and now they are priced higher. |
+1 I've got 2 of the latest MRT transponders and they've worked fine at every track I've raced at. They look much nicer on your car too as they are black with black wire. Especially nice on an electric touring car where looks are everything

+1 for MRT
I've been running them for 6+ years and currently own 10 of them, one for each class that I race and I've never missed a lap while racing at 7+ tracks in my area, with a mix between RC3 and RC4 systems abroad.
