I am curious about how the 4PV compares to the MT44 or of equal or higher value.

I agree, if I could have a quick basic radio, over a full color display, timers, telemetry, etc. I would get the basic radio.

My foam that goes on the wheel in my 4px comes off all the time; short of buying a new wheel (not sure what part # to get) do people just glue the thing back on? what is the recommended fix.

A little less permanent solution might be using double sided tape instead of glue

theres a guy on here Reptile sells custom rubber grips. I own 6 great grip. B4 his I used very thin double sided tape around plastic steering wheel b4 adding foam grip worked all the time. and tape was easy to remove after ..

I like these:
Prospect Park Raceway PPR Reptile RC radio wheel grips slot.car productsÂ

I get the soft ones, they are sticky and grip the wheel.

EDIT: The RC Guy beat me to it!!!!

That is correct, some servo tester might be able to test this or you will need a oscilloscope or logic analyzer. We rebinded our M12 radio 5 times before it changed settings, the MT4S managed in 1 rebind but it was also set to the slower settings when we checked but the menu said it was in the fast mode if we did not rebind.

Hi condac, not sure if you still visit here, but thanks for sharing the great data here and in the other thread/s.

Is there an easier way to confirm the mode? I read elsewhere of people using the Hz mode on their multimeter (presumably connected to the signal and ground output of the receiver?) and reading the output. I forget where I read this but from memory the numbers were correct - eg. 383Hz on the SHR and SSR modes. My meter is a Fluke 317 (true RMS) if it matters. I'm happy to try it out if someone can confirm it'll work and not fry anything. I have a Futaba FASST-C1 setup and a Sanwa FH4T SHR / SSR setup.

I also read that getting a successful rebind in a repeatable fashion on the Sanwa radios involves putting the TX and RX very close together (antennae specifically) which might help remove the inconsistencies. I presume the binding transfer mode has a much shorter transmission range than the regular operational range.

However, in the same spirit as this thread, I think it'd be good to have a way to confirm via measurement.

Interesting thread!
Is it possible to add the Sanwa M17 and Futaba 7PX in the charts? I'm looking for a new transmitter and I doubting between these two transmitters.

There have sadly not been any M17 or 7PX in my mailbox to test... or any other radios for that matter. But based on the results from previous radios from same manufactures, there is nothing to improve on, they have both reached minimum latency that the servos can do.
