5mm bullets for 4S?
I'm using these bullets from TQ https://tqwire.com/shop/rc-products/...-tallflat-top/ in my ebuggy and already after just the 2nd run on one battery it got hot and melted the case of the battery some. Batteries are Fantoms https://www.fantomracing.com/proddet...prod=FAN26175B.
Who else is using bullets on their 4S packs and what ones are you using? I know I'll have to make sure they are clean and have good tension no matter what, just looking to see what's working for other people. |

I hadn't thought of that, it could be a bad solder joint on the tube in the battery. Or possibly the that tube is slightly larger than the one in the other battery. I ran both batteries twice and noticed the melted case before I ran the non-melted battery for the last run and it was fine afterward. Seems like I may need to get a hold of fantom about it.

You ruled out a cold joint on the bullet itself by running the second pack so to confirm, would get ahold of the mfg on that battery. Would also store it in a lipo sack asap as you don't know what's going on with it internally.

Now I'd really like to open the case and check the solder joint, but better contact fantom first. I store my batteries in an ammo can so no worries there.
