sand in lipo hardcase

I went to charge a lipo I hadnt used in a while and I heard something inside. It sounds like a few grains of sand or dirt rattling around in the hardcase. I did not notice that last time I used it.

Its a smc case and it isnt puffed or split, and it charged up fine.

Safe to use?

It really depends. I'd say that if it charged and is not puffed they more than likely it's fine. See if you can peel back the balance plug seal a little and shake out whatever is in there.

I had that happen to some cheap Turnigy batteries one time. One was just some small rocks but the other had some small bits of solder and flux left over from the factory...not good.

I ran it for a few minutes and had no problems, but I am going to try the plug seal thing in the morning.
