New to the 7px, I race boats and a couple of things that would improve the radio out of site is a model setup wizard, yes the competition do this and the benefits are greater than one may think, model type car fuel or electric, boat fuel or electric then enter model name followed by what functions then go to the bind menu etc. Also add the epa direct trim function available for throttle. not even sure if the development team read here or not? |
Anyone update their Tx to firmware 3.1?
I've tried but when I hold the power and home button it just powers on normally. it doesn't load the update screen. I've copied the Futaba folder to the SD card, and followed the instructions. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

i have the same problem .Can you able to find a solution yet?
The folder for v3.1 is missing some files. Easy fix is to load up v3.0 on a SD card, then extract the v3.1 file and update the SD card. Then all the correct files and folders will be on the SD card and the update process works properly. My TX is working perfectly with v3.1 (done this way). Also, there is no need to update to v3 or v3.1 unless you have Futaba MC esc (see update notes). v2.3 is all you need for most racers. HTH. |

ok, got mine all updated, and the new update allows you to program your sbus servos through thge receiver wirelessly. finally. didnt have any issues at all.
if your using your transmistter for the update, you need to download the 3.0 update for transmitter. (there is 2 options here) then extract that file somewhere, inside that folder is a futaba folder, take that futaba folder put it on micro sd card. put sd card in your radio. turn on radio, to to menu, system, receiver update plug in a male/male cable from the com port on the back of the radio, into the sbus port on the receiver. hold the link button on the RX, turn on the power to the car, hold the link button till red light blinks. release button, and press and hold again till you get a solid red/green button. once the this is done, click update on the radio.. and wait fyi, my radio has the 3.1 update while doing this. now, you can go into the accesory menu, and can sbus your servos wirelessly. |
