I understand now. you need a sanwa speedo for the 482. all of the vortex has it built in so you could even do the sport version but there are something like 3 or 4 levels of sanwa speedos, i think there is another receive that allows external sensors. You can also log to the transmitter. The CX servo is cheap and fast but the parameters you can change in it really dont do allot for me.

you dont get the voltages from just the receiver? You might want to pick up the esc. no more program boxes. you can program from the radio too. If you are interested download a manual for a vortex and look at the list of (10) parameters that you can bind to a button or knob or even connect the parameters to telemetry for auto adjust.

Just wondering if anyone knows where to can get the different adjusters for the throttle/brake trigger for these?
I did see a drop down kit for the M12S but not sure it it fits..would prefer only to have to get the 3 little adaptors though

I bought a used RS with a lipo but I'd like to find/make an AA battery setup for VRCPro. Do they sell just this part? Is it as simple as soldering the connector to a basic 4xAA tray?

What do you all think of this radio? Is it work it or would you buy something else? Also I'm coming from a K.O Helios.

I chose the M12S over the M12RS, partly to get the life battery and charger included as well as the optional grip sizes included. These were worth the price difference to me but they're essentially the same radio otherwise. I chose not to wait for the M17 at the time due to the recall problems at release and not wanting to have a touch strip on my radio as it seemed like a potential point of failure.

I've since used the M17 and it is also a great radio, however there is still not an internal antenna receiver that takes advantage of the new faster protocol of the M17. The antenna on the rx-491 is quite short however, and can fit under the body in a short bent antenna tube in most cases. It is lighter than the M12S and M12RS but the weight of these radios never bothered me. The M17 can charge by USB by default or by wireless charging mat with an upgrade kit.
