Control options

2 Attachment(s)
Hi All,

I've finally took the plunge and bought myself a second hand tx/rx as an intro into RC. I have a project in mind - a simple car build.

I am looking at building my own car/bot as a fun project. Anyway, as I see it I have 2 options for steering;

OPTION 1 (preferred) - Drive 2 wheels separately with 2 ESC's and "mix" the channels to provide steering (I'm assuming "mixing" will decelerate either left or right depending on direction?). This will leave a channel free to run a servo for some kind of feature.

OPTION 2 - Drive 1 drive motor with the throttle stick and a servo with the other to provide steering the front wheels.

Firstly, is option 1 possible with the transmitter I have? If so, which channels and switch configuration should I use.

Thanks in advance. I am new to this but keen to learn through research and giving things a try!

Regards
Paul
