Turnigy graphene?
 

Has anyone tried the 2s turnigy graphene shorty? Undecided between graphite and ultimate ty in advance

I haven't personally used the Graphene but I know several people at my track have had good luck with them. They seem to offer a decent amount more punch but that could just be old batteries vs new. I don't think the extra cost justifies the performance gain unless you get them on sale. Don't get me wrong they're pretty great but when you're on a budget I'll take the lower cost ones.

While not specifically the car version, an airplane guy tested some of Turnigy's Graphene batteries and found them to be pretty stellar with extremely long cycle life.

I watched a video of a guy taking one apart and there was no graphene in them and seen a Video of a guy
Bench testing one against an ultimate. Results. Same battery.

Hobbykings out of the 29 dollar a spec the graphene is only 9 dollars more than the ultimate.. even if the performance is the same, if the cycle life really is what they say... then to me it's worth the extra few bucks

And there's a potential risk when dealing with c & d level brands. However, I would be interested in knowing how someone tested to detect the presence of Graphene inside of a battery cell. It's not a surprise that the cells would be identical in physical appearance if they were made at the same vendor. Chemistry would not necessarily dictate a change in manufacturing process.

The graphene can't be see just by taking it apart it's part of the molecular structure of the design
