Power control question

Hello everyone!
I'm getting back into the the hobby and just traded for a team associted B4.2. It came all apart but has everything except a speed control. It came with 2 motors. So I picked up a speed control from a local hobby shop and the guy working there said that it would work. But he really seamed like he didn't know shit. So I was hoping someone from here could help me out and let me know if it would work for both motors, or one motor etc. Thanks in advance!

Speed control is the Hobbywing Xerun xr10 60a
First motor is a trackstar 6.5t
Second is a castle cm36 3.5t

The trackstar will burn a justock up in minutes, its only rated down to 13.5 IIRC. The Castle is non-sensored so the Justock will not work properly with it, plus a 3.5 will burn it up faster than a 6.5t will. Go back and get yourself a decent 17.5t motor and install it in the buggy. Keep the ESC you have. It will make for much more enjoyment.

So you were right, he didnt know shit. But you got a great ESC it just has its limitations. a 17.5 or 13.5 would work great with that buggy.

Agreed, best thing(especially if you're wanting to do it on a budget) would be to buy a Trackstar V2 17.5, it's a VERY solid motor(especially for $45 or so), & you can buy 2 or 3 of them for the price of the big name brand motors(& they will NOT perform that much better, if at all). That Hobbywing is an EXCELLENT ESC, but it is definitely NOT made to handle anything hotter than a 13.5 or so....

The Hobbywing esc will run as big as a 11.5 turn motor. Your gonna need a different esc to run those motors. Hobbywing makes great esc's. A 120a V3.1 by Hobbywing would work they are about $120.
