3pv vs 4pv Latency

Since I have no need for a 4th channel, backlit lcd and more features I won't use does anyone know if the 3pv has similar latency as the 4pv since they use the same 2.4ghz protocol and the same exact receiver?

Its amazing you can't find that information on Futaba's website.

Only thing I like about the 4pv better is it feels better in hand and feels more substantial.

Thanks!

There shouldn't be any difference in speed if they use the same protocol.

Yes same speed and receivers can be used, just watered down display and features.

I own both, and they are both good controllers. I use the 4pv and my girlfriend uses the 3pv.

I bought a Futaba 3PV to replace my Airtronics M8. It's a really great radio. Sure it's smaller, super light and has no bling, but it's got all the functionality and speed.

They are race worthy radios. Not tons of bling and extra options however they have everthing you need to race at a high level. Sounds crazy but they really are that good.

Still using mine here in 2020!
Another seasoned club racer also has one now too. People don't seem to even be aware of 3PV it seems, as there's always a couple who ask me, "what radio is that?" :o
