A duo charger

I already have a lrp touch screen which I have been really happy with, before the lrp use to suffer from swallowen cells.
But since using the lrp, all old history now, looking to replace my lrp which I have had 3 years now, still works great with out a update.
Thinking of the ichargers or the orion? Haven't found much on the reviews on them.

Hands down Icharger.

I've had the orion duo touch and now have the icharger. The icharger wins hands down in versatility. Never had a reliability issue with either, but the icharger can do the higher discharge (with a discharge bank) and charges to the higher lipo cut offs. I've also charged batteries at high currents with the icharger without issues. If you race I'm sure someone at your track has these chargers and I've seen YouTube videos on both as far as user interface.

Look at Junsi 206B and a(HP750) computer power supply. It does 20 amps.

But not sure which one? Haven't found many reviews on them

The Duo 406 is the one get. Or you can get the bigger brother 4010. The 308 will have 30amps max as opposed to 40 like the other two. All three will have regenerative discharge capacities.

icharger 406 duo, great charger, charges 2s in less than 15 minutes.

Chris Brown 01-26-2017 07:58 PM

The 406 duo is all you'll need. I got the 4010. The only difference is the 4010 will do up to 10 cell lipo. Not that i ever plan to use it, but I didn't mind spending the little extra. Then if you go on to ebay, there's a guy who sells 75 amp power supplies. They are refurbed computer power supplies and he sells them pretty cheap. A quick search for a 75 amp 12 volt power supply should get you what you're looking for. They are a little bigger than a dollar bill length and width and he usually wraps them in a carbon fiber looking wrap.

I wouldn't worry about reviews on websites as much. There usually isn't as many reviews for anything rc related. I may not be the authority but I have always been in to high end chargers starting back from the old Tekin days. I have used Novak, Tekin, LRP, Orion, Hitec, Thunder Power, and now the Icharger. It is easily the most popular charger at my home track as well (OCRC raceway).

Thinking the 406 duo?

Chris Brown 01-26-2017 10:35 PM

That's probably your best bet. $50 cheaper and a little smaller footprint for the 406. The only reason I can see the need for the 4010 over the 406 is if you ever plan on running 10s lipo or you really love the color ofor the 4010 enough to justify the price difference.

I had the 406 but bec I travel, it's a hassle to bring along a power supply. I went with a all-in-one. Ev-Peak AD1. It's AC/DC, duo port charger. Quite well built.
Has 1 year warranty.
