From the Manual - If you participate in organized racing, you may be required to turn AVC

technology off. To turn off AVC technology, insert a second Bind Plug in the

Disable port before binding.

You can take both bind plugs out after the bind process. AVC and its functions (or not functioning) would not cause an esc to burn out. Don't really know why the HS would immediately blame AVC.

Update, the fix on the hardware for the radio is well worth it. I have been running the LiIon battery now for 3 weeks no charge, no voltage drop.
Thank you Nikos in suggesting to send the radio for the fix.

They did not do it then. They need to change a diode inside which fixes the battery drain. I would definitely call back and let them know about it. Maybe Nikos can help out as well?

As for charging i use my charger, setit to LiIon at 2000mah and have it charge.

My charger doesn't have a LiIon .
Sucks if they didn't cause means shipping it back again and waiting.

Got ahold of horizon and he confirms the guy didn't fix the lipo issue just did a firmware update. Is being nice enough to send a shipping label on their dime.
Is their another way to charge a LiIon?

That is good that Horizon at least is fixing the issue once in for all. Only drawback is being without a radio for another week.

As for charging a LiIon you need a charger that can charge LiIon, no other way around that I know of.

Savage, sorry to hear there was a miscommunication about the battery upgrade. Can see where it might get a little confusing on both sides when you compare and update/upgrade. As mentioned above, to use the LiIon, you a charger designed to work with that chemistry

Well only thing is when I filled out the form I specifically said I needed the update to fix the lipo draining issue. I person that emailed me back even said so and for what ever reason the tech did something else. Sucks bought the battery cause I don't have a charger for a LiIon, see if I can find a lipo to fit. Thanks!

How do I make this "knob" do something? I was gonna try and use it as a adjustable exponential steering rate knob or something else. Or just make it so I can adjust random things easier during the initial setup of the car.

Was wondering if anyone has messed with mixing between steering throw and throttle limiting. I am trying to limit my throttle input at certain steering angles.

You can use the knob to control AUX channel functions, but not to use for a steering feature adjustment.

Not sure what you are looking to do? Limit throttle when you steering goes past 75%? Not sure if you can mix to that level

I did try playing with the mixing but I believe I will need a curved mix and not a linear. I was thinking maybe I could set 2 custom mixes up and have them work together to accomplish what I am looking for. Trying to limit throttle input has I am going through tight corner.

Mixes can be tricky, in terms that its a bit of trial and error to achieve what you want. AVC would do what you want, if you have ever tried that before.
