Better Charging System?

I have the Graupner Polaron EX 1400 Charger system. My friend has the Hitec X1 Pro Charger with EPowerBox system.

Which is the better Charging System?

Polaron. Did you check the specs on both chargers, because it seems obvious to me, unless I missed something.

I think what he's saying that the specs of the Graupner are substantially better than the Hitec. Only downside of the Graupner is the price and you need to buy a power supply as well.

DC powered chargers typically offer higher charges rates.

I agree, DC chargers offer more bang for the buck. I can run a 10 and 20 amp system off a HP 750 power supply that I have $25 invested. So for $200 I have this system that can easily charge 2s-4s very fast.

Thanks for the the help guys.
I just wanted him to see it (your opinions).

I know that my Graupner Polaron charging system(power supply included) is better than the Hitec X1 Pro/Epowerbox charging system.

I've had both and the EX 1400 is by far the better of the two. The Polaron has a lot more features then the Hitec.

I agree once again. The Graupner Polaron EX 1400 with the Graupner Polaron power supply(2012) is better than the Hitec X1 Pro with 17amp ePowerbox power supply.

The Hitec X1 Pro is unable to set mv rate.
(and it can't display the battery non-charging voltage).

platgof 01-21-2017 05:01 PM

T thought the Graupner was very expensive.

GuyIsDamGood 01-22-2017 09:03 AM

The Graupner Polaron charging system does cost a few dollars. But; what is expensive in this hobby? This hobby makes us spend anyway. (But too much is too much)

If he's not going to believe a spec sheet, I doubt he's going to pay much attention to the opinions of some strangers on a forum.

I just got a EV Peak AD1 charger. I was told that they have been in the charger business for some time now. The build of the charger is quite good.
I also have a Hitec X2 Pro Duo.

Ha Ha!. . . He does pay attention to others R.C. opinions(they're cool dudes).

Hitec X1 Pro. . . . .ALRIGHT Charger!

Fiddling with the Hitec X1 Pro Charger; I found the way to set the mv rate.
- you can set the mv rate from 3 - 15mv.
- but it doesn't display the non-charging voltage.
