ESC and 13.5 Motor
 

Hey guys, I have been out of the game for a little bit 2-3 years. Looking for help in purchasing a new ESC/Motor combo for my B6D. I am going to run in the 13.5 class. I might run boost later, so we should take that into consideration. I know everyone hates threads like these, but i have been looking around and haven't found information on some of these. Below are the different combo's i am considering. Thank you for your assistance.

LRP Flow Works / X20 13.5 - Oldy but goodie? This was my favorite but i'm not sure if its getting replaced soon.
R1 ESC / V11 13.5 - Have not found any reputable information about this one, a guy at the track recommended.
Hobbywing XR10 / 13.5 Combo - Not sure about their motors, but hear the esc is nice.
SMC 170 / Totemic 13.5 - I liked their battery's
Is Orion R10 still cool?
Reedy 510?

Would like to keep it around $300, I have a B64 coming soon that I need to outfit and a couple cars for my boys.

I would go with the SMC combo. Those ESC's are easy to setup with the program box and I've only heard good things about their motors. I even picked one up myself. Plus that price is fantastic :)

If you want to save a little, Hobbywing also has a Stock Spec version of their ESC. It's the basically the same as the XR10, but just can't handle the really low turn mod motors. You can run it blinky or with timing.

If maclan's new ESC is as good as the motor, I think this one will be great option.

Good call Cain. I'm currently running a Viper VTX10 BE. I lost the cable for the program card, so i decided to try something new.

If you're going to go LRP, the newer Flow X has just been released.

Run xr10 justock and it is a great esc, look at Trackstar motors have a 13.5 a couldnt be happier with it.
