I've got 1 race night and few practice sessions in, R10Pro with the Tekin 4600...it's an ounce + lighter than the RX8.
7 min race 100 degs, Punch @ 6, Timing +7 degs...feels identical to the RX8 @ 70% current limit with 30% timing, indentical power consumption and similiar temps.

It was so slow when punched I could punch it drive 1/3 the track and then it would kick in. Or if I punched it and it was going slow I would stab the throttle a few times till it went fast again. Coins go fast after first stab sometimes. As for the bat...... No way. Bat is new and the lvc was set to 3.2v so wasn't that. If I just change the firmware all works good. But I want the 4poles to work.

I have been using the 4pole software for some time know and it has been awsome... Was running with tekin 4600 blinky no problem know running a tekin 3300 with boost know problem butter smooth with lots of top end runs faster than the 4600 on blinky runs super cool also... So would try reloading the software also try a new sensor cable and drop your lvc to 3.0 or off.. These motors can pull lots of power depending on your battery it could be tripping lvc.. Have seen it before on cheap low mah and low C rated batterys....

once i turned the current limiter down, I never had the problem again. I was using the same nanotech batteries.

it is probably a combination of the batteries and the current limiter. If you set it too high, the ESC tries to draw more than the batteries can supply. Mine did this in my 4wd SC with a Tekin 4600. I turned the limiter up to 7 or 8 and after a minute or two of running, it would lag when I gave it throttle and then would kick in.

I suspect its the battery try turning the lvc down and try it. I put an amp meter on mine and when the boost kicks in pulls over 100amps so a good battery really helps I have been using the 6900mah 100c from trinity.. Also what motor had a buddy that had a bad sensor board in his motor and at high rpms the esc would switch into sensorless mode and the performacne goes to crap.. So first I would change sensor wire.. Second drop the lvc.. Thrid barrow a better pack.. fourth try a different motor.. I don't think there is a problem with the ESC..

Frazz i know there was a problem with the firmware when running this esc with a 4 pole. You need to make sure V1.71 firmware is downloaded.Just google Vortex r10 pro 4 pole software.Hope this helps!
