If i took the endbell off from the brushed motor and put it on the opposite way it came off will that make the motor go in reverse. I hope so. Let me know thanks guys.

Yes it would, assuming you left the wires as they were before. Note that it's just as easy to flip the wire polarity on the can with NO negative effect also.
