Delayed throttle response after coming to a stop.

Hi there.

I have an XV-01 with a 60A hobbywing ESC and an ancient 40mhz futaba 3pm. I have this weird issue where it responds to an initial throttle input very slowly, with say half a second delay. Once it's moving the response is perfectly immediate, but if I stop by breaking, then hit the throttle again it waits a while before responding again.

so the pattern is Turn on > throttle on > a second delay > moving and responding fine > breaks > stops > reverse with no delay > stop > throttle on > this big delay again.

would getting a newer RxTx like a t3pv help me? I've tried rebinding and reprogramming the esc in a variety of way and it's gotten a bit better but it's not as smooth as I'd like it to be.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using a sensored motor? Is the sensor wire OK? Sounds more like a motor/ESC problem than a radio problem.
